Vung Tau (beach) – located 2 hours (94 km.) southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau is one of the most popular beach resorts in Vietnam and it tends to get very crowded during the months of December through May. Vietnam Golf & Country Club (the Club House Long Thanth My, Ward District 9, Ho Chi Minh City) — this is the first 36-hole golf club in Vietnam and is widely regarded as Vietnam’s premier golf and country club. Tuan Chau Island – located three hours (167 km.) east of Hanoi, Tuan Chau Island is an island on Halong Bay and about 4 km. far from Bai Chay Tourist Wharf to the southwest. The island is connected to the mainland by a 2 km road built in 1998. The name “Tuan Chau” comes from two words: “linh tuan” (patrolman) and ‘tri chau’ (district) because in the feudal period, Tuan Chau Island was a guard station in the national defense system.
Tuan Chau Island has the original size of 2.5 square kilometers and it now covers an area of 4 square kilometers. On the island, the weather is cool all around the year. It’s featured with 2-square kilometer green pine forest, white sand beach stretching 6 kilometers. These all features make Tuan Chau Island an ideal place for visiting and relaxing on Halong Bay.
Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex (Trang An, Truong Yen, Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh) — Situated near the southern margin of the Red River Delta, the Trang An Landscape Complex is a spectacular landscape of limestone karst peaks permeated with valleys, many of them partly submerged and surrounded by steep, almost vertical cliffs. Exploration of caves at different altitudes has revealed archaeological traces of human activity over a continuous period of more than 30,000 years. They illustrate the occupation of these mountains by seasonal hunter-gatherers and how they adapted to major climatic and environmental changes, especially the repeated inundation of the landscape by the sea after the last ice age.
Thang Long Water Puppet Theater (Hanoi) — Water puppetry is a form of folk arts originating in the Red River Delta in the north of Vietnam, dating back in the 11th century. Many town and villages in Vietnam have communal ponds that are perfect stages for these impromptu performances, enhancing the widespread development of the art form. Suoi Tien Amusement Park (120 AH1, Tân Phú, Quận 9, Ho Chí Minh City) – this is a theme park that evolves around Vietnamese folklore (the park’s name is from a story about 7 sacred girls who died and became fairies in this country). Tourists visiting Suoi Tien can learn about the legendary history of Vietnam’s people. What’s more, cultural festivals are periodically held within the site, when interesting Vietnamese traditional activities and features are there for visitors to enjoy, such as the Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival and Hung King Anniversary.
Along with that, Suoi Tien offers numerous kinds of game, from scary, thrilling to adventurous ones such as: Mystery of the Forest, 4D Theatre, Roller Coaster and Air Bicycle. No one would be disappointed when they visit this theme park, especially children, as there’s a specific area called The Children’s Kingdom. Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden (2 Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, Dist. 1, Ho Chi Mihn City) — the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden is famous not only with Vietnamese but also with foreign visitors. It is the home for many rare orchids, ornamental plants, and over a hundred species of mammals, reptiles and birds. Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden is a cultural place of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). It was ranked eighth among the oldest zoos in the world. Admission: 50,000 VND (adult), 30,000 (children), free for children under 1 meter tall.
